Stride Adaptive Sports
STRIDE Adaptive Sports is a nonprofit organization located in New York offering programs in more than 18 different sports for individuals with disabilities. With a focus on individual lifetime sports, their programs use specialized equipment or teaching aids to make sports accessible to those disabled. STRIDE believes it is possible to remove boundaries, fulfill dreams, enhance self-esteem, and empower youth with disabilities through participation in sports and recreational activities. Volunteering
Volunteers are indispensable to STRIDE, and they work with over 350 volunteers in every facet of their organization, including: sports instructors in all programs event staff office professionals corporate volunteer teams & civic organizations fundraising for the mission outdoor clean-up days and so much more. To become a volunteer, you must be at least 15 years old and complete this interest form to get started. Once you're ready to sign up for events, please fill out this survey provided. Additionally, you can reach out to the STRIDE Program Director, Alli Ryan, to express your interest and receive links for the background check and Safe Sport training at aryan@stride.org.
